Review of Filming Audley End
This filming had to be the most difficult of all the filming that we had done, as we was filming across from a bridge it was very hard to get the shots that we wanted as cars kept going passed over the bridge, luckily we got the shots that we wanted and the ending that we wanted worked really well.
We wanted to use this location as we thought it would work really well with our genre of music, the idea of getting it in the sun and the vibrant colours could create a great atmosphere to the music video itself.

Review for filming performance cambridge
When we went to Cambridge we was held up as the protesters held us up at traffic lights we was able to get past eventually but it did delay our time when we got there.
For our performing shots i feel that it went really well we got the shots exactly how we wanted them and decided to get a lot more footage so that it will be easier to film, we tried different ways of filming a panning shot as it was really hard to do on a really un even floor so we used a steady hand and a skateboard. We looked at the shot after and it seemed to work well.

Weather for Performance Filming
We looked at how the weather would look to go to Cambridge for the Wednesday which it is going to be sunny which is what we wanted.
if it wasn't sunny we would have had to change the day as we wouldn't have been able to have this shot in the rain or we could have found a location under a shelter.

Review from Narrative 1
We Found that filming went well we decided to use locations from the flitch way, this will show the best scenery that we could get. We found getting the mid shots and long shots where easy to shot as we had a lot of room to be able to place the camera wherever we wanted it.
The most hardest but that we shot was using the trains as we had to work around where the train stopped and when it came this didn't help much with timing but we was able to get all the shots in time with two different trains that came. this locations i felt have worked really well when filming as the weather helped we was able to get all different shots as we was able to get the space and the different depths of the shots gives it a nice look to our final shooting.
Characters
This is our actors Harry Was the Boyfriend of the First narrative that we have filmed and this is what her was wearing for the shooting. This is me (Gemma) as i was playing the girlfriend of the 1st narrative this is what i was wearing for the train sceen.
Train
We had to buy a ticket from Elsenham to Stansted this is so that when I got on the train I was going to try to jump off of it before it left but if I didnt get off in time I would have the ticket to take me to Stansted.

We made sure that the days that we wanted to start filming had to be the right weather, as the style of our music will be uplifting and vibrant so we wanted a sunny day to create this effect.
This is why we have chosen Saturday 26th November for our first shot:
However this is only an estimate from Yahoo therefore if it is bad weather we would just need to embrace this and make sure we have an umbrella for the filming equipment.

This is our first audition: Andy Fitzpatrick.
Our feedback was that although the guitar was played well and we could match the lip syncing up well, we felt he was uneasy and nervous in front of the camera which could prove difficult for filming.
This is our second audition: Ben Brown.
Our feedback was that he felt comfortable and relaxed in front of the camera and was very happy to be there. However his lip syncing was not good because he was unsure of the words. However he did play the guitar correctly and it fitted well with the original piece.

Strangers
Today for our course work research we had a band come in to our school and let us film them this was to help us to start to understand how our planning comes into play with our final outcome.
1st we got into groups then we started to plan how many cameras we needed and consider our space that we was using. as we couldn't really story board the shots as we was working around the band so we designed our ideas of where they would stand and where we would have the cameras positioned round the pit.
They where a great band and after having this experience of filiming has showed how the planning really does count and the setting up process is very long and i now know that you really do need the whole day for my music video to get the all of the shots that i want for the editing process to be much easier.
Editing
We found the editing actually quite challenging as we seemed to have to much footage to be able to pick all the best shots. We found that the time that we had was hard to work too but i feel that the shots that we did get really worked well and suited the audience to how we wanted.
costume for our main guy's style

We looked out how our costume will fit in with the style of the music so we decided to chose this indie look from Russel Brand so that we could get the idea of what our audience would expect to see of this genre of music.
This look is very up to date so i though this would relate to the youth of the public, this will help with the audiences needs and make them want to see more of ed sheerans music.

location

These shots are from the fields surronding my area that i live in, i chose these shots of a field because this is where i want the narrative side of the video to be. We will have couples in each scenery to make a relaxed atmospeher as we will be relating the lyrics in about love and couples moving apart from one another.
I chose fields as i wanted to show a very open space and make the couple be seen as the main centre of the shots.
The lake i decide to use as i want a beautiful scenery for our shots, the lake i wanted to show a romantic setting to build atmosphere and the dream that all couples can relate to.

These location photos were taken on Audley End bridge outside Audley End House.
I believed this would be a good location because the background reflects a large open space with a relaxed atmosphere which suits the acoustic side of the genre.
The difficulty of shooting here would be that our actor would be on the other side of the road to us as the pavements are very narrow. It would take a lot of takes due to traffic however if we chose to do this filming on a off peak traffic time like a Sunday I believe we would be okay.
Focus Group
We have started to think of using a focus group so these are the questions we are going to ask after we have played them the song.

Bruno Mars it will Rain
Looking at Bruno Mars video I have been interested in a lot of the shots, conventions and elements that they use to influence my own media piece.
I like the use of meting the conventions of the genre that it is a slow and romantic video that there is this closeness of the couples showing that they are hitting the audience needs as this is what they expect from this style of music.
When I was watching the video I realised there is narrative and performance which I really like the way they have done this through the cross cuts and also the colour changes which is relating to the music video. It is about the good and bad of a relationship which he is singing about the women leaving so it has a blue tint to the video and when it is all nice on the narrative it has the un beaming through the shots relating well to the audience.
The use of the narrative and performance to can see a clear different in the expressions of the character i like the way you can see Bruno Mar's face clearly when he is happy and as soon as it turns to sad you can not see his face. The mood turns quickly through the piece and the used of close up shots and mid shots also change quickly relating well to the music. The back shots of Bruno builds the climax to the argument and it does this a lot with the girl in the shots as well.

I like the use of the mise-en-scene which he used a guitar that made the piece feel that it fitted the genre better as acoustic it related well and the extreme close up dominates the instrument.

Wanted Warzone
The Wanted : Warzone video i chose to annotate as I liked the way that it has used narrative and performance and the way in which they have decided to construct this.
Through the narrative of the music video they have used each singer as a protagonist but have kept the antagonist the same as the male character that identity is concealed.
![]() |

I like how they have used the mid shots of each protagonist this shows the character at the same part of the storyline, the fast cuts shows a good pace with the music making it connect with the narrative.

With the performance they have fitted them all together well, having a long shot of all of them showing strong body language has portrayed the anger of the narrative.
